At Ashaeda’s Desk
It’s time for paws, hand paws that is! Ashaeda currently is working on four sets of hand paws and 3 sets of feet paws. The first set of hands is a very old lost queue item that’s was recovered and is now being finished. With these paws being finished, there is only one more order of “loose parts” on the side of the queue! These paws have presented quite the challenge with LED lights from DVC, supplied by the client and requested to make them removable! This has required some complex problem solving!
The next several sets of paws are months in the making. These are being made on the new realistic slim anthro hand paw pattern. This pattern has required a lot of fine tuning to dial in the shapes and sizing, but the results are well worth the effort! This pattern has the most pieces of any hand paw pattern we have made to date, but they are very dexterous (for paws) and quite comfortable. This set shown goes with the silver wolf we finished last summer.
Ashaeda has had lower energy than normal this past few weeks due to some recent health complications. When they have not been training the crew, they have been on the ipad working on parts for clients. This spotted hyena jaw set is in the works currently. Soon we will be 3D printing the jaw set for the spotted hyena kit, as well as the sergal jaw set for the upcoming sergals in the queue. The darss edar horns are waiting for a prototype mold to be produced.
News in the Coffee Cavern
Check out our new products in the Etsy shop this month!
This month we have added our new hyena headbases! They are available in resin and foam and are now and options for clients to choose from for their builds.
With hours and hours spent cutting shaving and sewing complex fur patterns by hand, Ashaeda has also been training Arctonyx and Garrundt in the casting department to improve order quality. We have figured out a new method for casting complex parts, like jaw sets, virtually bubble free! We will be trying this on the rotational casted fursuit head bases next!
With cleaner parts out of the way, the casting department has kept up well with Etsy orders. Only one order has gone out late due to a slip up with the rotary tool. We have begun to cast the parts for the queued Khajjit build on hold. The nose for the yeen has also been prototyped, finished and is being molded this week. Silicone yeen noses will be available in the shop shortly in 5 colors. We are on track to have full yeen kits available by Arizona Fur Con.

Stratos Fur 2023
Our next scheduled con is Arizona Fur Con in October, followed shortly by BLFC. We have been applying for BLFC for several years now and are very excited to finally be in the dealers den. Ashaeda attended BLFC in a prior year to deliver work to a client and and had a lot of fun at that one. We plan to apply for Midwest Furfest this year as well. We don’t have high hopes, but who knows. Worth a shot, right?
Unfortunately, as things go, this summer has come with some unexpected bills. In an attempt to relax and reduce burnout as well as help with general funds, Ashaeda has been painting some Windstone Editions Paint-Your-Own Figurines on and off the past several months. These have been individually auctioned on the Official Windstone Editions collectors group on Facebook. If you have interest in bidding on these when they are posted, you may bid within the group or contact us directly to place a bid. We are not taking orders for custom painted pieces at this time as we are preoccupied with the queue.
Upcoming Conventions
Conventions help us earn revenue that is used to order materials, cover business expenses and refunds without the need to open the queue. Con stock is primarily handled by Arctonyx and Garruntd.

Ashaeda's Current Health Status
Currently, Ashaeda’s work is impacted by moderate health issues. They have more symptoms than normal and are currently awaiting imaging and a biopsy procedure for some moderately concerning health complications early this month. This procedure will require approximatly one week off from work for procedure prep, the biopsy, and then recovery.
Meet your studio crew!
These are your background Weasels! Helping to fill orders, handle con-stock, and training to become fully fledged makers, they handle background tasks so Ashaeda can work on the queue.
